Quick Facts About Me

  • Music Education I began my musical studies when I was three years old at the Harlem School of the Arts in New York City. I later attended the School for Strings while studying privately with a Julliard School Instructor in Manhattan. Then I was accepted into Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts where I majored in violin performance. In 1998, I attended the SUNY Conservatory of Music at Purchase College followed by a full scholarship to Howard University to pursue a music business degree..

  • Orchestral Experience I was fortunate to receive professional orchestral training at all of the music schools that I attended and I held seats as section leader in my high school’s symphony orchestra, chamber ensembles as well as concert mistress at Howard University. I also played in the All-City and All-State Symphony Orchestras of New York.

  • Violin Performance When possible, I prefer to use my electric violin, even for classical music. This is because I can control the tone and sound acoustics of the violin with an effects controller and no matter what the weather conditions or other unexpected situaiton may arise, even whether I am outside or in a crowed room, the guests will never have a problem hearing the clarity of my music.

  • Most popular setup Although I can accommodate up to a 15-piece band or small combos for wedding ceremonies and outdoor entertainment, most of my requests are for solo hip hop violin. This setup is very convenient and cost effective. For more information about my setup see the Setup and Refund Policy page.
